Anthropic opens its internal AI training to everyone with Claude Academy

August 23, 2026 | Source: t | AI, Anthropic | 164 views 0 comments

Anthropic just launched Claude Academy, turning how to use Claude and how to collaborate with AI into a free set of courses.

The platform currently has 22 courses, 289 lessons, tutorials, and real-world use cases that anyone can dig into. It covers Claude, Claude Code, Cowork, Claude Tag, and the API, with dedicated learning tracks for people like students, teachers, and small-business owners.

What makes it unusual is that it follows Anthropic's own playbook for training employees. Starting on day one, Anthropic staff learn '4D AI Fluency': which jobs to hand off to AI, how to describe a task, how to judge the quality of output, and how to spot where AI went wrong. From there, they keep learning about model capabilities, limitations, and how people and agents are supposed to work together.

The curriculum isn't just prompt engineering, either. Anthropic's argument is that models change too fast, and set-in-stone tricks go stale quickly. For example, users used to have to tell Claude who the audience was; new models just ask. Instead of memorizing prompts, Claude Academy pushes you to think about when you should use AI, when you should just do it yourself, and why higher-risk tasks deserve more rigorous review.

After logging in, you can track your progress and earn completion badges. Anthropic also ships a Claude Academy Skill, which lets Claude recommend courses and learning paths tailored to your own workflow.
