Ant Group's embodied AI company Lingbo Technology has kicked off its first fundraising round, targeting 1.5 billion yuan, with plans to close a second round by the end of the year.
Lingbo builds what it calls a "universal brain" for robots — one model designed to work across different brands and robot form factors. Its LingBot line covers visual perception, 3D mapping, world prediction, and action control, taking robots from understanding their surroundings to executing tasks. The latest LingBot-VLA 2.0 was pretrained on roughly 60,000 hours of data spanning 20 robot configurations.
Lingbo was previously fully incubated by Ant. Now it's opening the door to outside capital. The first round isn't even closed yet, and a second is already scheduled for year-end — a fundraising cadence that's more aggressive than the check size.
