Alibaba Cloud has launched an enterprise edition of its AI coding platform, Qoder, and it's designed to handle codebases with hundreds of thousands of files. The new version focuses on team collaboration, understanding massive project contexts, and keeping sensitive data secure.
The enterprise edition introduces a cloud-based knowledge base called QMind, which enables cross-product, cross-device, and cross-person knowledge sharing. Paired with the RepoWiki module, it can parse codebases containing up to 100,000 files, untangling modules and business logic that have accumulated over years. When working across repositories, developers can directly call code semantics and documentation context from different repos, and even use conversational commands within the client to add, delete, modify, or query the knowledge base.
On the security front, Qoder provides five layers of protection including transmission encryption and audit compliance. It uses a tiered defense system — command interception, semantic analysis, risk assessment, and sandbox isolation — to block prompt injection or code injection attacks targeting the AI agent. For cost management, enterprises purchase resource bundles and administrators can dynamically configure which models are available based on code repository sensitivity, distributing credits to team members as needed.
Qoder is already serving clients like FAW Group and CITIC Securities, and Alibaba Cloud says the platform's global user base has surpassed 5 million.
