AI voice input startup Wispr Flow has raised $280 million in a Series B round led by Menlo Ventures, pushing its valuation to $2 billion. Just nine months ago, the company was valued at $700 million, so the price has nearly tripled. Total funding to date now stands at $361 million.

Wispr Flow lets you talk instead of type, then turns your spoken words into clean, ready-to-send text. The company says it's now used in more than 10,000 companies, and users have written over 60 billion words with it. It also recently launched a meeting notes tool, moving beyond voice typing into more office workflows.

The startup also previewed its first in-house speech model, Canto. Wispr claims that in the toughest audio conditions — wind, background music, heavy accents — word error rates can drop from over 30% to between 5% and 10%. The amount of dictation users need to fix manually in daily use is expected to fall by 30% to 35%.
