Swedish startup Pit is coming out of stealth today with a $16 million seed round led by a16z, with participation from Lakestar, the Stena family, and the Lundin family. Angel investors include execs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Revolut, and Deel.

Pit was founded in 2025 in Stockholm by Adam Jafer, co-founder of electric scooter company Voi, along with former tech and product leads at Klarna and iZettle (a Swedish mobile payment company acquired by PayPal in 2018). The product aims to replace Excel, email, and rigid SaaS tools with AI-generated internal operations software.

The platform has two components: Pit Studio learns how a company’s existing workflows operate and automatically builds a corresponding software system; Pit Cloud provides compliance infrastructure including tenant isolation, ISO 27001, SSO, and audit trails. Pit claims the system can go live in days to weeks.

Enterprise customers in logistics, telecom, e-commerce, and healthcare are already piloting the platform, including Voi, Swedish carrier Tre, Stena Recycling, and Swedish telehealth platform Kry. Early data shows an 85% reduction in marketing execution time, over 10,000 hours saved per deployment per year, and 99% invoice auto-validation pass rates.
