Mira Murati, the former OpenAI CTO, has a new model out — Inkling-Small — and it's open source, packing less than a third of Inkling's parameters with just a 1-point difference in performance. Her Thinking Machines Lab released the full model weights. It's a multimodal reasoning model supporting text, images, and audio input. Like Inkling, it's under the Apache 2.0 license.
