MiniMax founder and CEO Yan Junjie (IO) published an internal letter titled "To the End of the Sky." In it, he acknowledges market fluctuations and makes three personal commitments. Until AGI (artificial general intelligence) is achieved, he will not draw any salary from the company.
Over the next four years, Yan will give up personal shares equivalent to 4% of the company's total equity. Those shares will be used to incentivize team members who have long fought alongside him and created value together. Another 1% of total equity will go to a dedicated fund that continuously supports the open-source community.
Yan says markets will fluctuate and outside noise will come, but the direction forward won't change. He also says he will devote all his time, energy, and resources to this cause. The letter ends: "We will keep walking until we arrive. Intelligence, with everyone."
