Huawei 'genius boy' slams DeepSeek interview, then gets accused of ghosting investor

After publicly slamming DeepSeek's interview process, Huawei's former 'genius boy' Li Bojie is now facing accusations from a former investor who claims he took the money and ran.

Li, part of Huawei's first batch of its 'genius boy' talent program, took to social media to complain about his DeepSeek interview experience. He said he was accused of cheating during a coding interview and walked out on the spot. But that gripe quickly sparked a new feud. Du Jun, co-founder of Web3 investment firm ABCDE, publicly accused Li of a 'lack of contractual integrity.'

Du claims that after investing in Li's startup Metagent (co-founded with Zhuang Siyuan in 2024), Li and Zhuang refused to share financial and business updates as agreed, then went completely dark. Du says he can accept a project failing in various ways...
