Former MiniMax technical partner Yang Bin has launched BreezeBlue, a voice AI startup that just closed a $6 million seed round co-led by Yuanjing Capital and Redpoint China. The roughly 15-person team is focused on real-time voice interaction, with its latest model being Breeze TTS 2.
Yang previously oversaw image and video generation models at MiniMax, but he's now betting on sound. His reasoning: as AI agents take on increasingly complex tasks, humans won't be able to keep staring at screens to supervise them. Voice lets agents check in proactively, confirm what they're about to do, and gives people a way to jump in mid-task and correct course.
