DeepSeek's V4 price hike hits Pro peak output with a 4.5x jump

DeepSeek has announced new pricing for its V4 API, taking effect August 17. During peak hours, V4-Pro now costs 9 yuan per million tokens for cache-missed input (up from 3 yuan) and 27 yuan for output (up from 6 yuan) — a 3x and 4.5x increase, respectively.

Off-peak pricing is half the peak rate, but it's still pricier than today: V4-Pro input runs 4.5 yuan and output 13.5 yuan, while V4-Flash is 1.5 yuan for input and 4.5 yuan for output.

Peak hours are 9:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00 Beijing time daily. All other times are billed at the off-peak rate.
