Anthropic has adjusted the biosafety restrictions on Claude Fable 5. Previously, any biology-related query that triggered a safety classifier would automatically get punted to the weaker Opus 5. With the new classifier in place, biology-related fallbacks in testing have dropped by about 85%.
Routine requests like interpreting lab results, understanding symptoms, and learning biology are now far more likely to get a direct answer from Fable 5.
