Nvidia has launched its first set of GeForce Trading Cards. Series 1 includes 14 designs spanning over thirty years of GeForce GPUs, games, and tech demos.
Cards feature the NV1, GeForce 256, GeForce 3, 7800 GTX, GTX 1080, and the Cyberpunk 2077-branded RTX 2080 Ti. Classic tech demos like Bubble, Chameleon, and Medusa also got the card treatment.
The cards won't be sold to the public. You'll need to enter the "Summer of RTX" online sweepstakes or pick them up for free at select events. Nvidia already handed them out at Bilibili World in Shanghai, with more giveaways planned for QuakeCon and gamescom.
Against the backdrop of increasingly expensive graphics cards, the reaction from gamers has been... wistful. PC Gamer quotes one user: "Finally, a card from Nvidia I can afford."
