Real-time AI video generation company Decart has released Lucy 2.5, a model that lets you swap out people, clothes, and backgrounds in a video on the fly — just type a description or drop in a reference image. You can also add effects or remove objects without waiting for a render.
Lucy 2.5 outputs 1080p video at 30 frames per second, and everything happens in real time. You can adjust an object's position, color, size, and style as the video plays.
The update also improves consistency. When a person turns around or leaves the frame and comes back, the modified face and clothes stay the same. That makes it useful for live streaming, e-commerce try-ons, advertising, and gaming.
Decart closed a $300 million funding round this year, pushing its valuation to nearly $4 billion. Nvidia also invested.
